USE OF THE HAND-GRIP.-
On this model the pulse rate is
measured by placing both hands on
the sensors (R), located on the
handlebar, as shown in Figure 4.
When both hands are placed on the
sensors the heart symbol on the
screen will begin to flash and after a
few seconds your heart rate reading
will be displayed.
If both hands are not placed correctly
Fig.5 then the pulse function will not
work.
If a "P" appears on the screen or the
heart symbol does not flash then
make sure that both hands are placed
on the sensors and that connector
(52-B) is connected at the back of the
monitor (76).
TELEMETRIC PULSE RATE.-
Optional.
The monitor is equipped to receive
signals
from
measurement system.
FITNESS PROGRAM -
Press the FITNESS program key,
then press the ENTER key and by using
the ▲▼ keys select your AGE (12 – 99)
press the ENTER key to confirm, use
the ▲▼ keys to select your WEIGHT
(20 – 120Kg), press the ENTER key to
confirm, Press the QUICK START key
and place your hands on the handgrip
sensors (R), as shown in Fig.6, and
after a few seconds the screen will
display the results on the bottom
display screens.

The main screen will display the type
of profile for your body type.
If the error code "E-3" appears then
this means that an error has occu-
rred, position your hands correctly on
the pulse sensors (R), Fig.5.
OPTIMUM HEART RATE
CALCULATION.-

Heart Rate (HR) training has become
one of the most popular ways of
controlling exercise.
There is no better indicator for how
your body feels than your own heart.
Using the heart rate to determine
exertion levels can produce the best
results for exercising.
1.- Establishing Maximum Heart
Rate:
The normal way to calculate your
maximum heart rate is:
Subtract your age from a reference
value of 220 beats per minute.
Example: If you are 30 years old, your
maximum heart rate is:
220 – 30 = 190 Beats per minute BPM
