O Turn the adjusting screw or adjusting sleeve until the desired braking is reached
(no hard impact at the start or end of the stroke).
O Secure the adjusting screw with the threaded pin.
Fixed stop
SA1-MC/SA1-MA M12x1.5 - M25x1.5; SA1-MA M33x1.5 and M64x2
All absorbers in these model series have an integrated fixed stop. No external fixed
stop is required.
Note for operation
Danger of burns caused by heating of the shock absorbers
Kinetic energy will be changed into thermal energy as a result of the cushioning.
Thereby, the shock absorbers get hot during operation.
O Let the shock absorbers cool down before touching after operation.
Do not use the shock absorbers in an area with aggressive liquids
(e.g. coolants or lubricants). Observe the smaller amount of energy
absorption at ambient temperatures > 20 °C
No intervention is required while the system is running. If settings are required,
follow the instructions in „Commissioning for the first time".

Service and Repairs
The SA1 shock absorber are maintenance-free.
However, a visual inspection should be performed at regular intervals to check for
damage and leaks. In the case of leaks or poor cushioning, dispose of the shock
absorbers in accordance with the applicable national regulations.
Cleaning and servicing
Damage to the seals due to solvents and aggressive detergents!
Aggressive detergents can cause damage to and premature aging of the shock
absorber seals.
O Never use solvents or aggressive detergents.
8
Disassembly and Exchange
Danger of injury due to moving parts
The shock absorbers slow down the movement of the impacting masses. Between
shock absorbers and moving masses, there is a danger of injury due to crushing,
shearing, or impact.
O Make sure that the relevant system parts are not under pressure before
disassembly.
Danger of burns caused by heating of the shock absorbers
Kinetic energy will be changed into thermal energy as a result of the cushioning.
Thereby, the shock absorbers get hot during operation.
O Let the shock absorbers cool down before touching after operation.
1.
Make sure that all relevant system parts are not under voltage or pressure.
2.
Loosen the bolted connection (SA1 MC) or the clamping flange (SA1 MA) and
remove the absorber.
3.
Assembly, see section 5 „Assembly".
9
Disposal
Careless disposal of the SA1 shock absorber could lead to pollution of the
environment.
Dispose of the SA1 shock absorber and packaging in accordance with your country's
national regulations.
