Horizontal installation is allowed for all the motors.
Refer to the driven equipment manual for further installation instructions.
If there are no specific indications about that, the motor must be supported so that it does not create tensions on the driven equipment.
Vertical installation (version on request)
·
ATTENTION!
Refer to the driven equipment manual for further installation instructions.

During the installation, it is recommended to pay particular attention to the power supply cable and that of any probes.
In the case of unipolar power cables, it is recommended to perform the laying with a distance of at least 0.5 diameters between the cables.

ATTENTION!
5.4 FOUNDATIONS
ü
ü
ATTENTION!
ü
Motors equipped with feet must be fixed by means of them and provided with adequate supports.
The dimensions of the bolts fixing the foundations and connecting the flange to the driven equipment must be in accordance with EN 50347.
Also refer to TAB. VI for the recommended tightening torques.
Refer to the driven equipment manual for further instructions about foundations.
5.5 CONNECTION OF AUXILIARY DEVICES
·
ATTENTION!
It is not permitted the installation with the shaft-end oriented upwards.
Check that the surrounding space is sufficient to guarantee the possibility of movement for any maintenance
interventions.
Check that the space between the fan cover and the wall is greater than or equal to 1/4 of the diameter of the
fan cover air inlet.
Make sure that the motor is never exposed to bad weather.
Check that the fastening point and surface prevent any transmission of vibrations to the surrounding
structures.
Excessive vibrations caused for example by imbalances in the driven equipment or by resonances must be
avoided.
The system must not transmit vibrations to the equipment and must be made in such a way as not to amplify
the vibrations generated by the group.
If the motor is powered by a VFD (Inverter) check that there are no resonance conditions in the entire
operating speed range.
The lifting equipment used to install the unit must have sufficient capacity for the total weight to be lifted. For
detailed information on handling, refer to Paragraph 3.
Make sure that the motor support surface is well consolidated, regular (so that all feet are supported) and that
the capacity of this surface is adequate for the weight. The flatness of the support surface of the feet must not
exceed ± 0.1mm.
Check that the fastening point and surface prevent any transmission of vibrations to the surrounding
structures.
Check that the concrete foundations have adequate strength and comply with the relevant standards.
Check the presence and proper installation of the auxiliary connections.
