When the Programmable Meat Probes are plugged-in at the connection ports, these icons will display. The Actual
temperature is shown in bold and the Set temperature, if one is set, will be shown below. Move to P1 or P2 on the
Main Screen. Rotate the Controller Knob to adjust the desired temperature and push to confirm the selection. To

access the Probes sub-screen, move the joystick up if hovering over P2, or down if hovering over P1. Under the
Probes sub-screen, select the probe, then the temperature to program, or select the protein icon to set the default
temperature for what is being cooked. When not in use, disconnect the Meat Probe.

The outer ring indicates how far along the current cooking temperature is from the programmed temperature,
0-100%. See Controller Functions for more detail on using the Programmable Meat Probes.
The Settings icon will highlight blue when selected. The following menu items are available under Settings:
• P Setting: Adjusting the P Setting value allows the user to directly control the cycle rate of pellets that feed
the burn pot. The main purpose of this cooking preset is to cook at low temperatures when the unit is highly
affected by the ambient outdoor weather. See Smoke Mode.
• Display: Adjust the brightness of the display or change the temperature units to user preference. The
brightness slider can be increased/decreased. The temperature units can change from Fahrenheit (ºF) to
Celsius (ºC). Default is set to Fahrenheit (ºF).
• Screen Saver: The default is None. Select 1 Min, 3 Min, or 5 Min to choose when the display will go into sleep
mode after it has been idle. Nudge the Controller Knob to wake the display. Lock will lock the display, press
and hold the Controller Knob to unlock.
• Start-Up: OFF is the default and will automatically heat the unit to 65°C/150°F. Move the Controller Knob to
temperature (it will be blinking blue) and rotate the wheel to modify, press the Controller Knob to confirm
the temperature. Select ON to keep this selected temperature as the new default start-up temperature. The
temperature range is 54-215°C/130-420°F.
• Language: This options allows the user to change the language shown in the display. The display language
options are English, French, and Spanish; English is the default language.
• About: On this screen, you should see the controller specifications and other system information. In order
to best serve your support needs, you will need to relay this information with Customer Care. The MAC
address is a unique identifier assigned at manufacturing, useful for troubleshooting hardware concerns.
The Menu options: Hold Prime, 3 Seconds Prime, or 5 Seconds Prime. Selecting the Hold option will
continuously feed pellets from the auger, 30 seconds maximum. Press it again to stop the auger feed.
The timed selections will prime automatically for that period.
Press this button to switch on and off the light inside the smoker.
The FAN icon is visible when the fan is in operation. When it is not working the FAN error screen will appear. See
Troubleshooting for assistance.
The AUGER icon is visible when the auger is in operation. When it is not working the AUGER error screen will
appear. See Troubleshooting for assistance.
The IGNITER icon is visible when the igniter is in operation. When it is not working the IGNITER error screen will
appear. See Troubleshooting for assistance.
When the display has an error the PELLET error screen will appear, the fire in the Burn Pot has gone out or the
hopper may be empty. See Troubleshooting for assistance.
