Move the Controller Knob over the Meat Probes and press the Controller Knob up or down to access the Probes
sub-screen. In this sub-screen, nudge the Controller Knob up/down to highlight Probe 1 or Probe 2. If highlighted,
that is the Meat Probe selected. Rotate the Controller Knob to set, then push the Controller Knob to confirm value.
See Controller Functions for more detail on using the meat probes.
Move the Controller Knob over the Meat Probes and press the Controller Knob up or down to access the Probes
sub-screen. In this sub-screen, choose a protein preset instead of setting an exact desired Set temperature.
The preset temperature of each protein is the safe minimum internal cooking temperature to ensure doneness.
Nudging the Controller Knob to the left or right to select the desired protein preset. Push the Controller Knob
to confirm the selection. The protein preset temperatures are as follow:
• Beef: 60°C / 140°F
• Pork: 63°C / 145°F
• Chicken: 74°C / 165°F
• Fish: 63°C / 145°F
CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS
SETTING THE SMOKER TEMPERATURE
The Grill Probe measures the internal temperature of the Main Barrel. When the Set temperature is adjusted, the Grill Probe
will read the Actual temperature inside the Main Barrel and adjust to the desired Set temperature.
IMPORTANT: The temperature of your unit is highly dependent on ambient outdoor weather, quality of pellets
used, flavor of pellets, and the quantity of food being cooked.
SETTING/ADJUSTING THE SET TEMPERATURE
To adjust the desired Set temperature of the smoker, follow the steps below:
1.
Press the Controller Knob. The Actual temperature will blink to show it is active.
2. Turn the Controller Knob to see the value change in the Set temperature ("heating to") area.
3. Once the desired Set temperature is reached, press the Controller Knob to confirm. The central readout
will return back to the Actual Temperature, and the new Set temperature will show below it.
