1. Push the linear unit (15) up to the motor (2) as far as possible and tighten the
screws (12) by hand.
2. Set one connector sleeve each (16) on the linear unit shaft and the motor
shaft.
3. Place the pulleys (7/11) into the toothed belt (6).
4. Push the pulleys (7/11) over the connector sleeves (16).
5. Adjust pulley (11) and connector sleeve: see table below.

Pulley with flanged wheel (11)
Push the pulley as far forward as possible.
Observe the distance X3 between shaft and
connector sleeve. See g Fig. 17: X3 = 21.6 mm

Push the pulley as far forward as possible.
Position the pulley on the intermediate plate by
using the assembly tool (17) and push the pul-
ley as far forward as possible.
Observe distance Y3. See g Fig. 17:

8. Insert the pretensioning screw (13) into the side hole of the intermediate
plate (4) and tighten the toothed belt (6) with the pretensioning screw until
both guides are straight and parallel.
Important: If the toothed belt cannot be tightened: Loosen the special screw
(12).
9. Measure the toothed belt tension with a suitable frequency meter.
10.Adjust the pretensioning screw (13) until the required belt tension has been
reached.
11.Tighten the special screws (12).
Tightening torques. See g Table 6.
NOTICE! Tightening the pretension screw (13) increases the natural fre-
quency of the toothed belt. See g Table 11. Excessive pretensioning can lead
to increased wear in the bearing of the linear unit or motor due to radial load-
ing (material protection).

12.Once the correct frequency is set, secure the special screws (12) and check
the toothed belt frequency.
• Replace interval for all timing belts: 2 million cycles
• Installation of third-party motors: The natural frequency of third-
party motors can deviate from the indicated values. The frequency
is normally limited by the max. permissible radial load of the motor
shaft.
6.5.5 Assembling the gearbox cover

1. Place the flat gasket (8) between the gearbox cover (19) and the intermediate
plate (4).
2. Push the seal disks (18) over the hexagon socket screws (9/10).
3. Fasten the gearbox cover. See g Fig. 18.
