8.4. Description of air regu-
lator
The air regulator (alternatively fea-
turing an active charcoal filter and
optional air warmer) serves as the
interface between the compressed
air supply system and the breathing
protection hood and consists of the
following main components:
■ CCS disk [2-1] / [3-1]
■ Folding hood bracket [2-3] / [3-5]
■ Compressed air supply connection

■ Breathing protection hood connection
[2-5] / [3-8]

Information!
After installing on the belt unit the
air regulator can be tilted from the
basic position as required. Arrest-
ing increments at 22.5° and 45°
toward front or rear.

tion
The air humidifier is an optional part
of the breathing protection appara-

tus. It is used to humidify breathing
air and is inserted between the air
regulator and the breathing protec-
tion hood. It consists of the follow-
ing main components:
