Operating Instructions for SATA Breathing Protection Equipment

■ Insert the SATA filter timer in the
location intended for it on the side of
the hood bracket.
Changing PROTECT cap
The PROTECT cap [17-2] is in-
stalled at the factory on the left
adapter plate [17-4] of the belt unit.
Changing over to right adapter
plate
■ Press release lever
■ Pull Protect cap upward.
■ Insert Protect cap on right adapter
plate.
■ The retaining lug

Inserting filter cartridge into air
regulator with active carbon filter
Information!
The filter cartridge is always in-
serted on the side of the air flow
rate regulator [3-2].
Information!
The filter cartridge must be re-
placed three months after its
initial use. Information with the
relevant article number can be
found in the location intended
for the SATA filter timer. Always
use a new SATA filter timer when
replacing the filter cartridge.
■ Screw off screw cap to filter cartridge
[20-2]

■ Open filter cartridge packaging.
■ Insert filter cartridge
[17-1]
inward.

■ Screw on filter cartridge screw cap
until hand tight.
Activate SATA filter timer with air
regulator featuring active carbon

The SATA filter timer shows the
time remaining [21-1].
Information!
Depending on the side on which
it is worn, the location of the
SATA filter timer is on the right or
left next to the hood bracket.
■ Insert SATA filter timer in the location
[21-2]
intended for it.
■ Press on the activation point
A sound (clicking noise) confirms
successful activation.
Installing air warmer in air regu-
lator with active carbon filter
Information!
To warm the air, the air warm-
er carbon can optionally be in-
stalled on the side of the breath-
ing protection hood connection
[3-8]. The screw cap and fil-
ter cap are then not required.
■ Screw off screw cap to air warmer
