■ Put on breathing protection hood with
visor open.
■ Check adjustment of head straps.
Arrest breathing protection hood with
adjustment screw
■ Close visor.
Information!
Personnel with eye glasses may
have problems with the glasses
being displaced by the facial
seal [1-13]. To correct open the
visor foil [1-11] on one side (see
Chap. 10.2), correct position of
eye glasses and refasten visor
foil properly.
■ Check facial seal for proper seating
and sealing as well as field of vision.
■ Close hood cloth on chest side with
Velcro® fastener
Preparing breathing protection

Danger!
Operating the breathing protec-
tion equipment with the air flow
rate set incorrectly is prohibited.
This can make breathing difficult.
→ Verify the proper condition of
all components in use.
→ Adjust the required air flow
rate so that the indicator on the
pressure gauge [15-1] is in the
green zone [15-2].

Information!
Ensure that air regulator is con-
nected to the compressed air
supply (see Chap. 11).
■ Thread breathing air hose
through belt loop and connect to
air regulator [2-5] / [3-8].
■ Set the required air flow for the
air flow regulator [2-2] / [3-2] on
the air regulator so that the indi-
cator on the pressure gauge [15-
1] is in the green zone [15-2].
The breathing protection hood is
then ready for use.
Adjusting breathing air regu-
lator
Information!
If the standard breathing air
regulator adjustment in the visor
is uncomfortable, the breathing
air regulator can be adapted by
inserting the breathing air guide
[1-12] included into the diffuser
block [1-10]. The breathing air
guide is included in the scope of
delivery.
