Notice!
Risk of damage due to dirt
contamination
When removing the cover, dirt
particles can enter into the water
tank and damage the air humid-
ifier.
→ Clean the exterior of the air
humidifier before disassembly.
Removing the cover seal
■ Unscrew and remove machine screws
with washers [28-3].
■ Lift and remove cover [28-1].
■ Remove cover seal [28-2] from cover.
Inserting a new cover seal
■ Insert new cover seal. Ensure that it is
properly seated [28-4].
■ Place cover back on tank.
■ Screw in machine screws with washers
(torque: 1.1 - 1.47 lbf ft (150 - 200
N cm)).

Removing the O-ring
■ Unscrew and remove filling plug [29-1].
■ Remove O-ring [29-2].
Install new O-ring
■ Install new O-ring. Ensure that O-ring is
seated properly.
■ Screw in filling plug.

15. Operating the air warm-
er/cooler
15.1.
Initial use of
warmer/cooler
Information!
The air warmer/cooler is ready
for use without the air humidifier.
When using an air humidifier,
place the air warmer/cooler on
the belt unit on the side of the air
regulator. An extra adapter plate
with hip pad is required for this. In
addition, adjust the length of the
air regulator connection hose.
The air warmer/cooler is delivered com-
pletely assembled and ready for use.
After unpacking check whether:
■ Air warmer/cooler damaged.
■ complete delivery of all listed parts
(see Chap. 6.4).
Personalizing the air warmer/
cooler
The air warmer/cooler can be personal-
ized with a CCS disk [30-1]. A red CCS
disk is installed on the air warmer or
a blue CCS disk is installed on the air
cooler [30-2] at the factory.
■ Remove CCS disk from air warmer/
cooler and replace with CCS disk of
another color.
Extending the hip pad and adapt-
er plate
■ Pull out belt from belt clasp [31-1].
■ Thread additional hip pad [31-2] with
adapter plate [31-3] onto belt.
■ Reinsert belt clasp into belt.
■ Check position of padded adapter
plates and correct, if necessary.
