Adjusting the connection hose
length
Information!
When adjusting the air regulator
connection hose, maintain a hose
length of at least 7.87 in (min. 20
cm).
■ Screw off kink protector from air
regulator connector [32-1] (wrench
size 14).
■ Shorten connection hose to required
length [32-2].
■ Slide connection hose onto air regula-
tor connector [32-3].
■ Slide kink protector back onto air
regulator connector and screw on
[32-4].
■ Check connection for leaks.

Air warmer/cooler
regulation
Information!
Before each use, check air warm-
er/cooler for damage and heavy
soiling.
Attaching air warmer/cooler to
belt unit
■ Insert mounting plate [33-2] into
adapter plate [33-4] of attached belt
unit until retaining lug [33-1] engages
in release lever [33-3].
Preparing for operation without
air humidifier
■ Insert compressed air safety hose [0-
9] into air regulator [0-7] / [0-8].
■ Insert air regulator connection hose
from air warmer/cooler [5-3] into air
regulator [0-7] / [0-8].
■ Route breathing protection hose
from breathing protection hood [0-2]
through belt loop and insert at air
warmer/cooler [0-5].
■ Set required air flow rate on air
regulator (see air regulator operating
instructions).
■ Use air temperature regulator [34-1]
to set the required air temperature at
one of seven locking positions.
The breathing protection equipment is
then ready for operation.
Preparing for operation with air
humidifier
■ Insert compressed air safety hose [0-
9] into air regulator [0-7] / [0-8].
■ Insert air regulator connection hose
from air warmer/cooler [5-3] into air
regulator [0-7] / [0-8].
■ Insert connection hose from air
humidifier [0-4] into air warmer/cooler
[0-5].
■ Route breathing protection hose
from breathing protection hood [0-2]
through belt loop and insert at air
humidifier.
■ Set required air flow rate on air
regulator (see air regulator operating
instructions).
■ Use air temperature regulator [34-1]
to set the required air temperature at
one of seven locking positions.
The breathing protection equipment is
then ready for operation.
