Removing comfort head
band
Information!
Mark position of head straps on
front assembly flaps [8-1].
Remove head straps from hood
shell by loosening front and rear
assembly flaps.
■ Remove comfort head band
from head straps
■ Clean/disinfect front side of head
straps.
Attaching new comfort head
band
■ Fold new comfort head band [12-3]
around head strap flaps [12-4] be-
tween the two front assembly flaps.
■ Insert head straps into hood shell as
marked on assembly flaps. Ensure
that breathing protection hood is
seated properly.
10.5. Inserting air guide
element
Information!
The air flow on the inside of the
breathing protection hood can be
perceived as annoying.
If required, insert air guide element
into grooves provided with four
projections [13-1].
11. Operation of Air Regu-
lator
An alternative version of the air
regulator is also available with an
active carbon filter with optional air
warmer.

11.1. Initial operation of
air regulator
The air regulator is delivered com-
pletely assembled and ready for
use. The active carbon filter allows
for the optional installation of an air
warmer (Part No. 1000158).
After unpacking check whether:
■ Air regulator is damaged.
■ complete delivery of all listed parts
(see Chap. 6.2).
Personalizing air regulator
The air regulator can be person-
alized with a CCS disk [14-1]. A
red CCS disk is installed on the air
regulator [14-2] at the factory.
■ Remove CCS disk from air regulator
and replace with CCS disk of another
color.
Replacing fastening module on
carrying side
Information!
The fastening module [16-1] is
installed at the factory for mount-
ing the air regulator on the right
side.
The connection for the breathing
protection hood should always
point toward the rear.
Converting for use on left side
■ Fold out hood bracket
■ Unscrew and remove screws
■ Change over assembly side on hood
bracket and fastening module

module to air regulator with screws.
