8-1 Cleaning
1. Repairs or servicing not covered in this manual should only be performed by
qualified personnel.
2. Periodically wipe the case with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents on
this instrument.
8-2 Battery installation or replacement
WARNING. The following safety information must be observed to ensure
maximum personal safety during the operation of this Tester.
1. To avoid electric shock, disconnect the test leads and clamp adaptor from the
battery being measured before replacing the Tester batteries.
2. When replacing the Tester batteries, do not mix batteries of different types or
old and new batteries.
3. Check the battery polarity carefully when inserting the batteries.
4. Do not short-circuit used batteries, disassemble them, or throw them in a fire.
Doing so may cause the batteries to explode.
5. Dispose of the used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Replace the instrument batteries with six new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries when the
is shown on the display.
1. Switch off the Tester and remove the battery cover.
2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment.
3. Refit the battery cover.
