Note: The heel clip is not intended for use with the Trapezoid RX
Wireguided Retrieval Basket.
4. To retract the basket, turn the blue directional switch forward
toward the green arrow. Firmly pump the handle lever until the
calculus is fragmented.
Note: Once the calculus is fragmented, stop squeezing the
handle of the Alliance II device to avoid disengaging the
Trapezoid basket tip.
Note: Basket retraction and extension may be viewed under
fluoroscopy.
5. Stop pumping the handle lever when the basket fully retracts
into the catheter tip.
6. To extend the basket, turn the blue directional switch backward
toward the red arrow. Firmly pump the handle lever until the
basket is fully extended.
7. To detach the lithotripsy basket from the Alliance II Integrated
Inflation/Litho Handle, return the blue directional switch to the
upward position, and pull upward on the lithotripsy basket handle.
Disposal
After each use, clean and disinfect all external and accessible
surfaces using the cleaning and disinfection instructions included
in the user manual.
When the device reaches the end of its useful life, to minimize the risk
of infection or microbial hazards, dispose of device and packaging
as follows:
Device may contain biohazardous substances. The device and
packaging should be treated and disposed of as biohazardous
waste. They should be treated and disposed of in accordance with
any applicable hospital, administrative, and/or local government
regulations. Use of a biohazard container with biological hazard
symbol is recommended. Untreated biohazardous waste should not
be disposed of in a municipal waste system.
Post-Procedure
Any serious incident that occurs in relation to this device should be
reported to the manufacturer and relevant local regulatory authority.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
DO NOT immerse the unit in disinfecting solutions. DO NOT
steam autoclave.
The Alliance II Integrated Inflation/Litho Handle can be wiped with
clean water and disinfecting solution such as 2% glutaraldehyde.
Follow the solution manufacturer's recommended instructions for
safe handling.
PRECAUTION: Ensure that the Alliance II Integrated Inflation/Litho
Handle is dry prior to use, otherwise slippage may occur.
