A word from LOOK:
Congratulations on choosing LOOK ski bindings. You have chosen a high-quality, advanced technology
product developed under racing conditions to bring you maximum satisfaction.
Your LOOK bindings have been designed to release ski from boot in every direction, while staying fixed
to the ski when you are in full control. Yet, no matter how advanced, no ski/binding/boot system will
protect you in every situation. Skiing, like all sports, comprises a certain degree of risk that everyone
must recognize and accept.
WARNING:
We cannot guarantee that your boot/binding system will release under all circumstances. It is impossible
to predict every situation where release will occur. Consequently, we cannot offer an absolute guarantee
of safety.
Inappropriate use of the binding increases the risk of non-release or inadvertent release.
Any change to binding components, to the ski brake or to the interface system is strongly discouraged
and triggers an exclusion from warranty cover.
Never touch bindings with bare hands, if possible also not when opening in "awkward
positions" (also when opening them in forced positions), as the risk of pinching or
crushing fingers can have serious consequences due to the force of the opening and
closing mechanisms.
High forces can occur when opening and closing, especially at the heel.
Assembly and adjustment should be carried out by a specialist dealer who has the necessary
too/s and technical information.
IMPORTANT:
Recent ski boots come with markings based on logos and letters used to determine which standards
and which types of bindings the ski boots are compatible with, thereby ensuring the desired level of
safety and performance.
Please refer to the table in Fig. 7 to determine which ISO standard and ISO boot type your LOOK
bindings are compatible with.
We recommend that skiers ask a qualified retailer or our consumer relations department for more
information and to identify which ski boots are compatible with their LOOK bindings. When there no
specific markings on the bindings (i.e. on old bindings), it is very important to get information from a
qualified retailer or from our consumer relations department.
LOOK Warranty:
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE OF ANY OTHER GUARANTEE WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLICIT.
1. SCOPE OF WARRANTY
When you purchase LOOK bindings ("LOOK products"), you benefit from the application of the legal
product conformity guarantee that applies to products (Articles L217-4 and following in the French
Consumer Code) as well as the legal guarantee against hidden flaws (Articles 1641 to 1649 in the
French Civil Code). For the application of any warranty, it is essential to present the proof of purchase.
We remind you that if a mandatory legal provision of your Country is more favorable to you than
that set out herein, the said more favorable provision shall apply.
WARNING: the guarantees presented on this page are applicable only to consumer customers. This
means that only natural persons purchasing a LOOK product for purposes that are not part of their
commercial, industrial, artisanal or liberal activity are concerned.
We remind you that LOOK products require assembly and/or adjustment by a professional.
In general, the information relating to the use of the LOOK products and in particular the safety rules,
the conditions of assembly or installation, and the conditions of maintenance of these LOOK products
are contained in the instructions for use or user guide delivered with the LOOK products. Failure to
comply with the instructions contained therein may result in the invalidation of the warranty.
