BEFORE OPERATION
CAUTION :
Check the following so as to prevent maloperation of and damage to the machine.
• Before you put the machine into operation for the first time after the set-up, clean it thoroughly. R e m o v e
all dust gathering during transportation and oil it well.
• Confirm that voltage has been correctly set.
Confirm that the power plug has been properly connected to the power supply.
• Never use the machine in the state where the voltage type is different from the designated one.
• The direction of normal rotation of the machine is counterclockwise as observed from the pulley side.
Take care not to allow the machine to rotate in the reverse direction.
• Never operate the machine unless the machine head and the oil tank have been filled with oil.
• For a test run, remove the bobbin and the needle thread.
• For the first month, decrease the sewing speed and run LS-1340 and LU-1341 at a speed of 1,600 sti/min or
less and LS-1342 and LS-1342-7 2,000 sti/min or less.
• Operate the handwheel after the machine has totally stopped.

VORSICHT :
Überprüfen Sie die folgenden Punkte, um Fehlbedienung und Beschädigung der
Maschine zu verhüten.
• Reinigen Sie die Maschine gründlich, bevor Sie sie nach der Installation erstmalig in Betrieb nehmen.
Säubern Sie die Maschine gründlich von Staub, der sich während des Transports angesammelt hat, und
ölen Sie sie gut.
• Vergewissern Sie sich, daß die Spannung korrekt eingestellt worden ist.
Vergewissern Sie sich, daß der Netzstecker korrekt an das Stromnetz angeschlossen worden ist.
• Betreiben Sie die Maschine niemals mit einer anderen als der vorgeschriebenen Spannung.
• Die normale Laufrichtung der Maschine ist von der Riemenscheibe aus gesehen entgegen dem Uhrzeiger-
sinn.
Lassen Sie nicht zu, daß sich die Maschine nicht in der entgegengesetzten Richtung dreht.
• Betreiben Sie die Maschine niemals, ohne daß Maschinenkopf und Öltank mit Öl gefüllt worden sind.
• Entfernen Sie Spule und Nadelfaden für einen Probelauf.
• Reduzieren Sie die Nähgeschwindigkeit während des ersten Monats, und betreiben Sie die Modelle LS-1340
und LU-1341 mit maximal 1.600 sti/min, und die Modelle LS-1342 und LS-1342-7 mit maximal 2.000 sti/min.
• Betätigen Sie das Handrad erst, nachdem die Maschine zum vollkommenen Stillstand gekommen ist.
AVANT L'UTILISATION
ATTENTION :
Pour ne pas risquer des anomalies ou d'endommager la machine, vérifier les
points suivants.
• Avant la première mise en service qui suit l'installation, nettoyer complètement la machine.
Enlever toute la poussière ayant pu s'accumuler pendant le transport et bien lubrifier la machine.
• S'assurer que la machine a été réglée sur la tension correcte.
S'assurer également que la fiche secteur est bien connectée à l'alimentation.
• Ne jamais utiliser la machine avec une tension électrique différente de celle pour laquelle elle est prévue.
• La machine doit tourner dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre lorsqu'on la regarde depuis le
côté de la poulie. Ne pas la faire tourner à l'envers.
• Ne jamais utiliser la machine sans avoir rempli d'huile la tête de la machine et le réservoir d'huile.
• Pour une marche d'essai, retirer la canette et le fil d'aiguille.
• Pendant le premier mois, utiliser la machine avec une vitesse de couture réduite sans dépasser 1.600 sti/
min pour les LS-1340 et LS-1341 ou 2.000 sti/min pour les LS-1342 et LS-1342-7.
• Ne pas toucher le volant tant que la machine n'est pas complètement arrêtée.
