4 SAFETY INFORMATION
en-12
Do not operate the forklift when you are tired,
have emotional problems, or after consuming
alcohol or medicine especially with sleeping
ingredient.
All accidents must be reported to the supervisor.
Always visually check the truck for anything
wrong before using it. If there is any problem
with the truck, report to the supervisor
immediately and do not use the truck until it is
repaired. The operators must not attempt to
make repairs or adjustments by themselves
unless properly trained and authorized to do so.
The operator should know the location and
usage of a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and
other related equipment in case of the
emergency.
4.5 Conditions for normal
truck use
Do not use the truck in bad weather conditions
such as thunderstorms or high winds. When
dense fog arises, wait until visibility is good
before using the forklift.

area, keep the truck at least 30 minutes at
ambient temperatures before returning to the
refrigerated area.
Notes on IC Trucks
Never use the internal combustion trucks in an
enclosed, poorly ventilated area. The exhaust
fumes (carbon monoxide) are very harmful.
When working indoors, be sure that the
workplace is always well ventilated.
Keep the following points for cooling system in
mind when you handle the forklift in hot
weather:
• Clogged radiator fins can cause overheat-
ing. Clean them out regularly with a blast of
compressed air. Also check for water leak-
age at the same time. - Check the fan belt
tension and adjust to the specified tension.
• Even if the engine overheats and the
coolant boils over, let the engine idle awhile
until the temperature falls, before shutting it
off. Long Life Coolant is mixed in with the
coolant, so do not run tap water into it right
away. Raise the engine hood and allow it to
cool down by itself.

Weight on rear wheels
In order to get the most from the forklift truck, it
is important to understand the relationship

stability. As seen from the picture on the right,
the front wheels work as a pivot point upon
which the weight on the rear wheels
(counterweight) is counterbalanced by the load
on the forks. Therefore, the forklift can tip
