Attaching the sensors

Mechanical connection

Lightly lubricate the socket pins of the sensors (Item
1) to protect the pin and socket.

Take care to always keep the contact surfaces (Item
2) for charging the batteries clean (Fig. 17).

Guide the four sensors into the clamps.

When doing so, the arms of the sensors must face in
the direction of travel at the front and in the opposi-
te direction at the rear (Figs. 18 and 19).

Use the spirit level to align the sensors and secure
with the thumb screws of the clamps.

Electrical connection

Connecting cable set for cable version or preparation
for emergency operation with radio version:
1.
Use the long connecting cables to connect each of
the two front sensors to the trolley.
2.
Use the short connecting cables to connect the front
and rear sensors.

Ensure firm connection of all plug-in contacts.
3.
Connect the FWA 43xx / 44xx to the mains.
4.
Press the ON (reset) button on all four sensors.

The FWA 43xx / 44xx is then ready for operati-
on.
