Printing Only When an Alarm Occurs

Note—
To ensure that all measurements are recorded under the same ID during spot check measurements,
you must follow this sequence of steps: First, place the SpO
NIBP cuff and initiate a measurement. Temperature can be taken any time during the cuff measurement
cycle. As soon as all measurements are complete, all the data is written to the patient's record.
Use the Print Settings screen to enable the automatic print option
[ ] PRINT UPON ALARM
[ ] VITAL SIGNS PRINT
To configure the monitor to print vital signs records automatically:

From the Line List display, press the System Settings soft key. The System Settings screen appears.

In the System Settings screen, press the Print Option soft key. The Print Settings screen appears.

Press the OK button until the Vitals Signs Print option is highlighted.

Use the Up or Down button to turn on the option. An X appears inside the brackets when the option is
enabled.
To save your changes, press either the System Screen soft key or the Save → Main soft key. If you press

the System Screen soft key, the settings are saved and the System screen appears. If you press the Save →
Main soft key, the settings are saved and the Line List display appears.
The monitor will now print a vital signs record for each patient, after all measurements on that patient are
complete. The Vital Signs print format is used with the automatic print option. See Print Formats on page 9-
3 for an example of the Vital Signs format.
Printing Only When an Alarm Occurs
If you want to configure the monitor to print vital signs only when an alarm violation occurs, select the
Print Upon Alarm option in the Print Settings screen, as seen in the previous section.
The Vital Signs print format is used with the Print Upon Alarm option. See Print Formats on page 9-3 for
an example of the Vital Signs format.

Selecting Additional Print Options

The Print Request screen displays several print options, which are described in the following sections. To
open the Print Request screen, press the Print soft key in the Line List display
