Placing the Disposable Sensor
Remove the protective film on the adhesive surface of the sensor. If the OxiMax is used on the finger, make
sure the wire is located over the nail.
To ensure an accurate reading, wrap the sensor over the finger so that the light source and the photo
detector are in the same line.
Be sure to read the OxiMax instructions before using the sensors.
Warning
Apply to a clean, dry site.
Do not apply additional tape over the sensor. Using additional tape increases the risk of venous
pulsation, pressure damage at the site, and inaccurate saturation measurements. You can, however,
apply tape over the cable to help prevent the sensor from becoming dislodged.
Check sensor site and circulation distal to the sensor at least every 8 hours and change the sensor as
required.
