5 Preparing the product for use

5.1 Preparing the prosthetic socket

CAUTION
Using a wrong prosthetic socket
Contusions and pressure sores due to wrong socket fit
Use the vacuum pump only in combination with an ischial containment prosthetic socket with

corresponding end load.
Mounting the Vacuum Connector
► Mount the 2R119 Vacuum Connector on the prosthetic socket according to the applicable

instructions for use.

5.2 Bench Alignment

+ = anterior placement / – = posterior placement (in relation to the alignment reference
line)

Position prosthetic components in accordance with the following values in the align­
ment apparatus and install them in accordance with the instructions.
a–p positioning, middle of the prosthetic foot to the alignment reference line:
+30 mm
Heel height:
effective heel height (x) + 5 mm
