7 Cleaning
CAUTION
Use of unsuitable cleaning agents or disinfectants
Impairment of functionality and damage due to incorrect cleaning agents or disinfectants
Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Only disinfect the product with the approved disinfectants.
Observe the instructions for cleaning and care.
1) Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth.
2) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
3) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
8 Maintenance
► A visual inspection and functional test of the prosthetic components should be performed
after the first 30 days of use.
► Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.
► Conduct annual safety inspections.

8.1 Checking for leaks

Remove the hose between the vacuum connector of the prosthetic socket and the suction connector of the
prosthetic knee joint. Use the T-piece to connect the vacuum gauge to the vacuum connector and suction con­
nector. Cover the entire vacuum connector on the inside of the socket with a small piece of paper and airtight
tape (e.g. Coroplast). Flex and extend the prosthetic knee joint until a constant vacuum of at least 300 mbar is
reached. Check whether the vacuum level is maintained.
Problem: Proximal seal
Solution: Check the proximal seal; seal or replace as
necessary.
Problem: Vacuum connector sealing
Solution: Check the vacuum connector sealing for
leaks; seal or replace as necessary.
Problem: Vacuum connector insert
Solution: Replace the vacuum connector insert.

Remove the adhesive tape and piece of paper. Cover
