Lever controlling the height of the stretcher (E)
This lever lowers the stretcher in front from its maximum height to an intermediate height to facilitate the loading of the patient or of the
stretcher itself. To release, the black lever (fig. 4) should be rotated towards the front bogie.

Lever regulating the backrest (G)
This mechanism (fig. 6), with a red handle, releases the backrest
to adjust its angle from the horizontal up to 80° with infinite
adjustment. To activate the lever, press it towards the centre then
release it to stop the movement of the backrest.
Device to adjust loading trolley (H)
This device (fig. 6) releases the trolley to enable it to be folded to
reduce the length of the stretcher. To release, press the two small
central levers towards each other; the device works automatically
when the trolley is rotated upwards.
As soon as the two small levers begin moving towards each other the trolley moves freely. It is
recommended to hold the trolley with one hand during its rotation to avoid the risk of the hand being
crushed.
Device for opening and closing the side handles (I)
Each handle (fig. 7) can be opened by operating the device placed
in the attack zone of the lateral handle. To turn over the handle,
push the handle of the device to release the hinge; to close it,
rotate it in the opposite direction: the blocking device will operate
automatically.
Device to block in one direction the rear wheels
The pivoting wheels on the rear legs are fitted with a system that centres them automatically: that is, it maintains them in a fixed
position to facilitate handling the stretcher and loading it on to the ambulance; in the folded position, the system makes it possible to
maintain the wheels in a position that enables the stretcher to be moved.
MERCURY
The two fixed wheels on the front legs are fitted with a handbrake operated by a lever
(fig. 5) that holds the stretcher in place while it is at a standstill. To operate the brake, the
lever should be rotated downwards.
