Before continuing to remove the stretcher, make sure that the rear legs are completely rigid and are placed
securely on the ground.
Until the legs reach the ground the operator must support about half of the weight of the patient and the
stretcher. For particularly heavy patients additional auxiliary personnel must be used (§3.3)
4. continue to remove the stretcher until the front legs are automatically lowered.
We inform you that it is of fundamental importance to ensure that the floor of the ambulance where the
stretcher is placed is, fully laden, at least 4/5 cm higher than the distance between the front load wheels and
the ground (e.g., if the distance between the wheels and the ground is 64 cm, the load floor of the
ambulance must be at least 68 cm). If this is not the case, during unloading it will not be possible to extend
the front legs completely, and this could lead to the accidental collapse of the stretcher, and create serious
problems and traumas for the patient being transported.
To avoid the stretcher falling accidentally during loading, check periodically that the height of the floor of
the ambulance, to ensure that the the legs of the stretcher can be fully extended (see figure 12).
Before completely removing the stretcher, always make sure that its front legs are completely rigid and are
placed securely on the ground.

4.5. STORAGE AFTER USE

The self-loading stretcher is made of materials that are corrosion-resistant and weather-resistant in normal use, and it does not require
special care. However, it is recommended that it be stored in a closed place, and that care be taken to protect the controls and moving
parts from dust and dirt, to maintain them in a condition of maximum efficiency and security when in use.
Both models can also be folded (in the completely lowered position) to reduce their bulk and facilitate storage (§ 4.4.)

4.6. PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

The table shows the problems that may occur while using the stretcher, with their causes and the solutions suggested.
If the problem persists, do not apply personal solutions, but apply to the ME.BER. Technical Assistance
department (§ 7.1.), and do so also for problems not mentioned in this diagnosis.
Always use original replacement parts (§ 7.3).
