Performance of the solar system

The solar system is designed for universal use in a wide range of applications. As the
intensity of sunlight varies considerably depending on the location, permissible connected
loads will also vary.
Figure 3-1 on page 3-1 shows a map of europe divided into three areas. To ensure proper
operation of the connected loads and a power reserve of several days, the maximum loads
listed on the map in Figure 3-1 on page 3-1 must not be exceeded.
Higher connected loads are not constantly available and are only available from time to
time.
For correct operation, the solar system must be installed in a location that receives
unobstructed sunlight all year round. An optimum tilt angle and optimum alignment of the
solar panels are also required (see page 3-3 to page 3-5).
Example of how to calculate the connected load
The connected load is calculated from the current consumption of the load that is connected
to the 24 V system voltage.
