Errors
WARNING: Risk of electric shock
Even at low voltages electrical parts can pose a danger.
For your safety, ensure that the installation, maintenance, and repair of the system is only
carried out by qualified personnel in strict accordance with the applicable regulations
governing health, safety, building technology, and electrical engineering.
The basic steps for removing an error are listed below.
The SunSaver charge controller does not contain any fuses, circuit breakers or parts that
can be maintained by the user.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock at the battery
When installing batteries, please note that there is a risk of personal injury due to short
circuits and damage may be caused to the system.
Take particular care when installing the battery in the control cabinet.
Avoid short circuits between the [+] and [–] battery poles, e.g., caused by a tool or
control cabinet parts.
Only use insulated tools.
When installing the battery, connect the positive pole [+] first. When removing the
battery, disconnect the negative pole [–] first.
Make sure that the connection cables are fitted securely.
Do not lift up or pull the battery at the battery poles.
Avoid shocks and sudden loads on the battery.
Despite the very low gas emission of the battery, do not install any sparking parts
(switches, relays or similar) in the direct vicinity of the battery.
If the battery is operated at its operating temperature limits, this may reduce the
service life of the battery (depending on duration, charge, etc.).

Batteries not charging
1.
Check whether the green "CHARGING" LED is on.
During the day, the green LED must be on.
2.
Check whether the correct battery type (sealed battery or flooded battery) has been
selected (see "Connecting the charge controller" on page 8-3).
3.
Check whether all cables have been connected correctly and securely.
4.
Check whether the polarity [+] and [–] is correct at the connections.
5.
Measure the non-load voltage of the solar panel and check whether it is within the
normal range (see "Technical data" on page 10-1).
