Installing the radio module and antenna adapter
(Example)
The RAD-ISM-2400 ... wireless signal transmission system is used to acquire and safely
transmit analog and digital sensor signals. In both unidirectional and bidirectional systems,
the wireless connection is always reliable and immune to interference. Applying the
operating voltage automatically creates the radio link. Parameterization or programming is
not required.
1.
Snap the RAD-ISM-2400 ... radio module onto the mounting rail (see Figure 4-8,
view A). Secure the radio module in place by installing an end bracket on either side of
the radio.
2.
Wire the radio module as directed by the installation instructions (supplied with the
radio module). Plug the antenna adapter connector into the radio module.
3.
Remove the hole seal from one of the innermost hole in the upper shelf of the control
cabinet (see Figure 4-8, step B1). Slide a hole grommet over the antenna adapter cable
and install it into the hole (see Figure 4-8, step B2). Then run the adapter cable down to
the surge protector on the lower shelf of the control cabinet (see Figure 4-8, view C.)
4.
Screw the antenna adapter connector onto the surge protector.
