Inspecting the components

All components have been inspected before shipment. After unpacking, inspect each
component for possible damage that may have occurred during transport. Items supplied
with your solar system are shown in Figure 1-1 on page 1-5. If physical damage is found or
if you have any questions, please call Phoenix Contact and speak to the technical support
team for the solar system RAD-SOL-SET-24-....

System description

The solar system RAD-SOL-SET-24-... is a "stand-alone" 24 V DC solar power system that
uses solar panels to charge the batteries. Power from the battery is then used to power your
equipment. A typical RAD-SOL-SET-24-100 solar system installation is shown in Figure 4-2
on page 4-6.
Intended use
The solar system RAD-SOL-SET-24-... may only be used to power RAD-ISM-2400 radio
modules from Phoenix Contact (see "Ordering data" on page 10-4).
Incorrect use of the product or use in violation of the instructions provided in this manual,
incorrect and/or unauthorized installation or repair of system components, as well as willful
modifications to the RAD-SOL-SET-24-... solar system are not permitted for reasons of
safety.
Correct usage includes observing all instructions and complying with the specified
operating conditions.
