Procedures after Using the Machine

Cleaning the Bottom of the Machine
When the operator is finished operating the machine, that means, after unloading all the feed into the
feed trough, it is recommended to load some fibrous ingredient (hay or straw) and let the machine
operate so that any eventual dampness that was left in the bin will be absorbed, and thereby reduce
corrosion on the bin bottom. This cleaning process must be performed in cases of sporadic operation
(10-20 days or more).
In this case, it would be a good idea to apply an anti-corrosion product on the bottom of the bin and also
on the thread blades.
CAUTION!! At the end of the operating cycle, it is "MANDATORY" to disconnect the
battery cable so that the tractor battery does not discharge.

Environmental Respect

The air and land are precious and irreplaceable assets. Respecting them means showing our own self-
respect. It is important to be familiar with the local environmental standards to know the correct method
for discarding used oil products.
If you do not know the exact environmental regulations, then store the liquids in adequate and sealed
containers until you get all the clarifications on these rulings. Your lubricant supplier can help you.
Avoid contact with the skin and avoid allowing the liquid leak while filling.
Immediately repair the tank or damaged tubes; adequately protect them, in cases of interventions by
welding, dust, or another tool, which could damage them.

General Maintenance Standards

It is prohibited to get on the machine for lubricating the high lubrication fittings, use a ladder or secure
pedestal. Before beginning any verification or maintenance process, perform the following:
- Turn off the motor.
- Remove the keys from the control panel.
- Whenever present, engage the parking brake.
- Lock the cabin and press the emergency mushroom button.
- Close the cylinder valves.
Check the tire pressure again and refill to the value as displayed on the safety label. Check the
tightness of the screws on the wheel hubs.
Replace or carefully repair the control gauges and signage (acoustic warning signals etc). In case of
any oil leakage, immediately check the cause, perform a necessary intervention and replace the
correct oil level. Check the cutting elements (milling machine blades and the thread blades) if they are
working properly:
a) The milling machine blades, if necessary, can be sharpened again; the worn or damaged ones must
be carefully replaced in order to not affect the proper operation of the milling machine.
