6 Putting into operation

CAT seat
In connection with the CAT robot mount, this component is required for each
tool used in the work sequence. The CAT seat is centered by a support ring in
the tool rest.
Tool rest
In the tool change system WWS-CAT, at least two tool rests are required. They
increase with the number of tools to be used. The CAT seat is arrested in the
tool rest by two pressure parts. They lock into place in the support ring by
spring force and are pneumatically released to remove them.
Option: Proximity switch for potential free feedback "Seat unlocked".

The CAT robot mount is a safety clutch of three-dimensional action for
protecting the tool. To adapt the CAT to the weight force of the specified tool,
it is available, in addition to the standard version M, in three additional spring
strengths S, L and XL.

Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair
work, the following instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power supply.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Pull the mains plug.
CAUTION
• Always wear your personal protective clothing when performing
maintenance and cleaning work.
• Personal protective clothing consists of safety gloves, safety goggles,
safety shoes and, if necessary, a safety helmet.
