Technical instructions
1. Trim back the vestibular edges of the silicone impression. Try to identify three reference points to the models.
2. Seat the models in the silicone impression and check the fit.
3. Mount the models in the articulator, positioning them in relation to the occlusal record.
4. If a UTS Transferbow has been used, attach it to the articulator, applying the philosophy relative to that determined by the Transferbow
record.
5. Secure the Ivoclar Vivadent Centric Tray in place. Place and fix the maxillary model. Remove lower jig and locate and fix the mandibular
model.
6. Fabricate individual trays, centre pin recording devices, wax occlusal rims or other prescription requests.
Please observe the following:
– Keep a record of the measured occlusal height.
– Use a viscous silicone, alginate or similar material.
– Use sufficient impression material.
– Check the seating of the models.
– Consider the articulator philosophy.
Reprocessing
– Autoclavable tray for multiple use (recommended for 10 autoclave cycles. If the tray is subjected to further autoclave cycles, the inherent
stability of the tray may be compromised and thus the exact dimensions are no longer ensured).
– Manual disinfection:
Disinfection procedures:
Disassemble the tray before disinfecting it. Place the Centric Tray into a mesh basket. Immerse the mesh basket with the individual parts of
the tray in disinfectant solution, e.g. MD 520 (Dürr Dental), at 20 ± 2 °C/ 68 ±3.6 °F for 5 min. Make sure that the surfaces of the components
are completely covered with disinfectant solution and that they are free of bubbles during the reaction time. Rinse Centric Tray with cold
demineralized water to remove any disinfectant residues.
– Sterilization: For steam sterilization, use the following parameters: 3x pre-vacuum procedure , 134 °C/273.2 °F, sterilization time 5.5 min.
