2.1 Radiation protection

RADIATION
Make certain before every X-ray exposure that all necessary radiation pre-
cautions have been taken.
You can find information about radiation precautions in the instructions for use for the indi-
vidual X-ray systems with which you are using this X-ray tube housing assembly.

2.2 Electrical safety

WARNING
Only trained maintenance staff may remove the covers from the X-ray tube
housing assembly.
This X-ray tube housing assembly may only be used in medical rooms
which meet the requirements of relevant national and international stan-
dards and laws.
You must not use this X-ray tube housing assembly in areas where there is danger of
explosion.
Detergents and disinfectants, including those used on the patient, can create explosive
gas mixtures.
Please observe the relevant regulations.

2.3 Thermal safety

WARNING
To prevent damage due to thermal overloading, precautions must be taken
to ensure that the X-ray tube housing assembly is not operated outside its
specified load parameters. This is the only way to eliminate all risk to the
patient and operator.
The X-ray tube housing assembly, consisting of the X-ray tube and X-ray tube housing, is
one component in the X-ray system. The power supply and the frame rate are generated
and controlled by the X-ray system. The user interfaces of some X-ray generators indicate
the thermal state of the X-ray tube.
