Maintenance by a service organization
The following maintenance work must be carried out once a year.
•
Check the X-ray tube housing assembly for obvious damage that might impair radiation
protection and my affect safety.
Example:Dents, scratches, tears, soiling, wear, oil leaks, unusual noises, ...
•
Check and confirm that the Al filter provided is properly located and fixed in the useful
beam.
•
Check all screws of the X-ray tube housing assembly which determine the position.
•
Check all cables and connections for mechanical damage, burned areas, loosened
connectors and the completeness of electrical connections.
Example:Protective earth, high voltage cables, temperature switch, stator cable, ...
•
Check the necessary monitoring, safety, display and indicating systems.
If two or more X-ray tube housing assemblies are controlled by a single exposure
switch, check whether the working site selected is indicated by the lamp mounted on or
in the vicinity of the X-ray tube housing assembly.
Observe the local national regulations.
Example:X-ray ON, selected X-ray tube, X-ray tube load indication, ...
Safety checks regarding national and international standards and laws or the local
regulations
•
Measuring the safety-relevant output parameters.
Example:Stability test, ...
•
For the particular product other special technical tests according to the generally
accepted standards of engineering practice.
Data logging
•
Record results and test reports in the X-ray system manual
(Medical Products Logbook).
