Note
Adhere to the manufacturer information for the wiping water and
antifreeze.
1. Raise the attachment frame.
2. Unlock and remove the side panels.
3. Fill with wiping water.
a Also add antifreeze in the case of potential frost.
4. Fit the lid on the wiping water container.
5. Attach the side panels again.
Checking the engine oil level
CAUTION
Danger of burns
Do not touch any hot surfaces such as engines, motors or gear-
boxes.
Oil dipstick

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Pull out the oil dipstick.
4. Wipe the oil dipstick and insert it.
5. Pull out the oil dipstick.
6. Measure the oil level using the oil dipstick.
The oil level must lie between the "MIN" and "MAX" markings.
Top up with engine oil if the oil level is below the "MIN" mark-
ing.

Risk of damage
An excessive high oil level leads to engine damage.
If the oil is above the "MAX" marking, drain oil until reaching the
correct oil level.

1. Remove the left-hand side motor cladding.
2. Unscrew the fuel tank fastener screw and pivot the fuel tank
outwards.

3. Check the engine oil level, see chapter .
4. Open the filler cap.
5. Top up the engine oil.
For the engine oil specifications, see chapter Technical data.
6. Do not fill the engine above the "MAX" marking.
7. Close the filler cap.
8. Check the engine oil level again after 5 minutes.
Top up the engine oil if necessary.
Replacing the engine oil filter
WARNING
Danger of burns
Allow the vehicle to cool down sufficiently before changing the
engine oil and engine oil filter.
Note
The engine oil is easier to drain when the engine is warm.
1. Switch off the engine.
2. Place a catch pan (min. 10 litres) underneath.
3. Unscrew the oil drain plug.
4. Unscrew the filler cap.
5. Drain oil.
6. Unscrew the oil filter.
7. Clean the mounting and sealing surfaces.
8. Coat the seal of the new oil filter with oil.
9. Screw in the oil filter and hand-tighten.
