Engine control unit (ECU)
ECU - Engine Control Unit
The engine control unit regulates and mon-
itors the engine functions.
If engine malfunctions occur during opera-
tion, the following are displayed:
– The fault code and fault description ap-
pear in the display
– The yellow or red warning lamp lights
up Engine performance is reduced or
engine is switched off
– An alarm sounds.
 The customer can rectify malfunctions
such as high cooling water temperature
or low oil pressure by using the appro-
priate measures
 If the malfunctions continue, contact the
authorised KÄRCHER or KUBOTA
Customer Service.

Fuel tank level
Operating hour counter
2 Warning light, red (STOP)
Fault with multiple causes: engine is
switched off
3 Indicator lamp (L1)
4 Engine control light (MIL)
Flashes briefly - temporary fault
The fault requires no further attention,
as it is not permanently present
Lights up permanently - fault
Have the fault rectified soon at an au-
thorised workshop. There is no immedi-
ate danger to the vehicle or the
environment
Flashes quickly - major fault
Have the vehicle repaired immediately
to avoid subsequent faults. Avoid ex-
cessive loading!

Function keys
The engine speed can be set in 2 stages
with the function keys.
For transport travel:
Recommended engine speed, 1500 rpm

For sweeping operation:
Select engine speed, 2550 rpm
A Function key <Menu>
B Function key <up>
C Function key <down>
D Function key <save/confirm>
 If you press and hold the <Menu> func-
tion key, the set engine speed is shown
in the display.
 To change the engine speed, press the
<up> or <down> function key.
 To save, press the <save/confirm>
function key.
Pedals
1 Brake pedal
2 Drive pedal
3 Parking brake

Before Startup

Fold up the cab
In order to perform different tasks, you may
have to fold up the cab (optional) first.
Note: The cab must only be tilted while the
vehicle is on even ground (± 5 °).
 Open the cab lock.
 Tilt the cab up until the lock lever clicks
into place.
 Unlock the lock lever prior to lowering
the cab.
Lock/ release parking brake
 Loosen parking brake; press brake
pedal at the same time.
 Activate the parking brake; press brake
pedal at the same time.
Moving sweeper without engaging
self-propulsion
 Open engine cover.
 Turn the freewheel lever of the hydrau-
lic pump by 90 ° down on the side.

CAUTION
Do not move the machine for long distanc-
es without engaging self-propulsion; a
speed of 10 km/h should not be exceeded.
 After moving, fold the freewheel lever
up again.
Moving sweeper by engaging self-
propulsion
 If the freewheel lever of the hydraulic
pump was opened to move the appli-
ance, this must be turned back anti-
clockwise all the way to its stop.
Use special tools.
Start up
General notes
 Read the operating instructions of the
engine manufacturer before start-up
and follow the safety instructions care-
fully.
 Park the sweeper on an even surface.
 Remove ignition key.
 Lock parking brake.
Install/replace gas bottle
DANGER
Risk of injury!
 Follow safety regulations for LPG vehi-
cles.
 Formation of crusts and yellow-frothing
deposits on the gas cylinder indicate
leakiness.
 Cylinders must be changed only by in-
structed persons.
 Cylinders containing propellant gases
must not be changed in garages and
underground areas.
 Do not smoke and use uncovered light
while changing the cylinder.
 While changing cylinders, first close the
locking valve of the LPG cylinder firmly
and immediately put the protective cap
on the empty cylinder.
WARNING
Only use replacement cylinders with 11 kg
contents of tested models.
CAUTION
The use of household gas and camping
gas is strictly prohibited.
LPG mixtures of propane and butane are
permitted. The propane content must be at
least 90%.
ATTENTION
Open the gas drawing valve (3) only after
starting the appliance (refer chapter Start-
ing the appliance).
Open the gas drawing valve by turning it in
anti-clockwise direction.
NOTICE
Connection has a left threading.
 Loosen the screw on the safety bar and
swivel the bar upwards.
