3.0 RULES OF USE
To obtain the best performance from the equipment, carefully follow
what is set out below.
The following maintenance, adjustment, and work preparation
operations must be performed with the tractor off and locked
fi rmly in position with the key removed from the dashboard
and the seeder positioned on the ground.
3.1 ATTACHMENT TO THE EQUIPMENT
3.1.1 ATTACHING THE TRIANGULAR QUICK CONNECTOR
The triangle for quick connecting and disconnecting the seeder
and the equipment to which it is coupled can be supplied with
the seeder (COMBINE). The triangle is fi tted permanently to the
equipment (Fig. 7).
3.1.2 FITTING THE TRANSMISSION TO THE REAR
ROLLER OF THE ROTATING HARROW
Before coupling the seeding unit to the equipment, the supplied
transmission must be fi tted to the rear roller, in order to obtain the
power required to distribute the seeds.
1) Remove the lubricator (1 Fig. 8) and fl anged bearing (2),
mounted on the left hand side of the roller, removing the four
fi xing screws.
2) Modify the left roller support, following the instructions shown
in Figure 9:
a - drill an 8.5 mm hole diameter and then a thread of M10x1.5;
b - widen the hole to diameter 22 mm;
c - drill an 11.5 mm diameter hole and then a 1/4" GAS thread.
3) Assemble the parts (3) and (4) (Fig. 8) on the side of the roller,
using the four fi xing screws.
4) Screw the axis (5) onto the fl anged bearing (3).
5) Mount the gear on the axis (6, Z11), locking into position with
the plug provided.
6) Mount the transmission chain (7), tightening using the chain
tensioner provided (8).
7) Protect the transmission unit with the guard provided (9).
3.1.3 HITCHING THE PLANTING UNIT TO THE
EQUIPMENT
Hitching the planting unit to the equipment is a very dange-
rous operation. Be very careful in following the instructions
for the whole operation.
It should be carried out on a fi rm, horizontal surface with the planting
unit placed on its support props.
1) Hook up the equipment (rotating harrow) to the tractor following
the manufacturer's instructions (see Instruction Manual).
2) Grease the guides (A Fig. 10) of the triangle to facilitate the
hooking up.
3) Bring the tractor to the seeder; using the lift, move the quick
connect triangle until it is vertically above the coupling triangle
of the seeder (Fig. 10).
Durante la fase di aggancio tra la seminatrice e l'attrezza-
