3.4 LOADING THE SEEDS INTO THE HOPPER
The loading of seeds in the hopper must always be carried out with
the equipment (Harrow + Vitigreen) resting on the ground and with
the rear roller locked.
Load the seed into the hopper from the side of the equipment.
3.5 UNLOADING THE SEEDS FROM THE HOPPER
To unload the seeds from the hopper you should:
- Place a collecting sheet under the equipment;
- Fully open the lever (A) shown in Figure 17 (pos. 4).
- for large quantities, it is advisable to use the crank on the tran-
smission shift to rotate the agitator shaft to better control seed
fl ow. To empty small amounts of seeds, shift the doser lever
beyond position 7 (Fig. 20).
- Wash the equipment with a lot of water, especially the tanks of
the chemical substances, and then dry them.
3.6 BEFORE STARTING WORK
Before starting the seeding operation grease all parts indicated by
transfer nr. 7 ('GRASE') at page 25 of this leafl et.
3.7 DURING WORK
Bear in mind that a variation in tractor speed does not lead to a
corresponding variation in seed sown per hectare.
Always work at a constant speed. Sudden changes in speed may
result in an uneven distribution of the product.
Always respect the following rules for successful sowing:
- Keep the tractor hydraulic lifting unit in its lowest position.
- check that the distributors are free from foreign bodies, that may
have accidentally entered the hopper. They could compromise
regular operation.
- Check in any case that the grain tubes are not clogged.
- Periodically check the results of seeding.
- The form dimensions and material of the drive shaft elastic
pins have been chosen for safety.
- The use of pins not original or more resistant, could cause
serious damage to the seeding machine.
- Avoid curves with the machine grounded, neither work in re-
verse. Always lift it when changing direction or reversing.
- Maintain a seeding speed compatible with type and cultiva-
tion of the soil in order to avoid breakages or damage.
- Make sure that no foreign material (rope, sack paper) enters
the storage tank when seed is being loaded.
The seeder can transport treated chemical substances toge-
ther with the seed. Do not allow children, people, pets to come
near the seeding machine. Keep away from the seed storage
tank and refrain from attempting to open it when the seeder
is working or about to begin working.
