4.2 Communication interfaces
®
4.2.1 Bluetooth interface
After the start sequence, the Bluetooth
activated.
If no connection is established, the gas warning device disables the interface
after 10 minutes (factory setting).
If the connection is to be secured with a pairing PIN, an additional pairing can
be carried out and an individual pairing PIN assigned. The factory setting is the
connection without PIN.
You have to assign an individual pairing PIN for applications requiring
security.
4.2.1.1 Activating the Bluetooth
®
● Activate the Bluetooth interface with the magnetic pen or via the
®
WirelessHART network:
● Magnetic pen: Tap the marking (figure A 9).
®
● WirelessHART : Activated via PolySoft.
✓ The blue LED flashes.
®
4.2.1.2 Pairing via Bluetooth and connecting for the first time
®
When connecting via Bluetooth for the first time, you must pair the gas warning
®
device with the Windows terminal device; during this, both devices exchange
identification data so that they automatically recognize each other the next time
they are connected.
Prerequisite:
®
– Activate the Bluetooth interface on the gas warning device and on the
®
Windows terminal device.
®
● If the Bluetooth pairing PIN "000000" is used, Bluetooth
place automatically.
®
If an individual Bluetooth pairing PIN has been assigned, you will be
prompted to enter the PIN.
✓ After successful connection, the blue LED lights up continuously.
The gas warning device and the Windows
are connected.
