Step 1
Move the cursor to "DETAIL BAND", and select a band pat-
tern from the following: "OFF", "SOFT", "MEDIUM SHARP",
"SHARP", or "SHARPEST".
The contour becomes thicker (low band) when the cursor is
moved to the direction of "SHARPEST", while the contour
becomes thinner (high band) in the direction of "SOFT".
!1 Set digital noise reduction function [DNR LEVEL]
The digital noise reduction function reduces noise. Use the [e] or [f] button to adjust the noise reduction level.
!2 Adjust the pedestal level [PEDESTAL LEVEL]
Adjust the pedestal level (black signal level) by operating the [e] or [f] button viewing a waveform monitor or color video moni-
tor.
When the value is incremented, the image becomes brighter, and when decremented, the image becomes darker.
!3 Set the flare compensation [FLARE COMP]
Select "ON" or "OFF" (default) to determine whether to perform the flare compensation.
When "ON" is selected, flare is reduced.
!4 Adjust the color level [COLOR LEVEL]
Adjust the color level by operating the [e] or [f] button viewing a vector scope or color video monitor.
When the value is incremented, the color becomes deeper, and when decremented, the color becomes lighter.
!5 Adjust the hue [COLOR MATRIX]
Adjust the hue viewing a vector scope or color video monitor.

When the value is incremented, the image becomes
sharper, and when decremented, the image becomes
softer.
Note:
• Jaggies may present in the contour of a photographic
subject, but it is not an abnormal phenomenon. If this
phenomenon is not favorable, decrease "DETAIL
BAND" or "DETAIL LEVEL" and adjust the image quality.
