Actuating mechanical release system

When you release the door mechanically, to move
it by hand, if the control unit is powered it will
perform the following functions:
• It will highlight the release situation showing the

flashing on the display, which
disappears as soon as the release door is closed,
or by pressing one of the buttons around the
display
After closing the release door, if the door is not on
one of the two limit switches (correct position), the
control unit automatically switches to the recovery
position.

Position recovery mode

It is activated when power to the control unit is
interrupted or when the release door is opened,
and then control of the position is lost. This does
not happen if the door is in a complete opening

): the bar is
or closing position, because in that case the limit
switch provides the information on the position of
the door.
When you see the door close at a speed lower than
usual and the flashing light is activated differently
than usual, it means that the control unit is
recovering the references: in this situation you
the
must wait to give new commands until the flashing
turns off, because it is necessary to let it finish the
manoeuvre.
If you do not let the manoeuvre finish, the movement
of the wing will remain imprecise because the correct
references on the fully opening and closing positions
are not available. The activation of the limit switch
enables instant recovery of door position.
During the repositioning manoeuvre the flashing
is activated in a differentiated manner (3 seconds
on, 1.5 seconds off) to highlight that this is a special
manoeuvring stage: only when the flashing returns
to normal will the control unit have recovered the
position references. The repositioning manoeuvre
is performed at low speeds, different from that set;
in the case where the set speed is very low, then the
repositioning is performed at that speed (without
further decreases).

Battery operation mode

If the battery charger is installed (B71/BC), in the
absence of mains voltage, operation is guaranteed
by the backup batteries 24V 1200mAh installed in
the container of the battery charger.
To install the battery charger (B71/BC) and the 2
batteries of 12Vdc 1200mAh, refer to Figure 12 as
well as carefully following the instructions of the
battery charger. Proceed as follows:
• remove the top cover G.
• remove the lower cover H as indicated by arrow
B in Figure 1.
• place the battery charger (B71/BC) in the special
slot of the bottom cover H.
• disconnect the wires from the transformer from
their original terminal and connect them to the
battery charger terminal marked with the letter I.
• connect the wiring L supplied with the battery
charger.
• close the lower cover H and secure it with the
screws.
• place the batteries with the correct polarity.
• close the top cover G.
For best performance it is recommended to power
the photocells (transmitter and receiver) and
possibly other devices that do not activate the
system (therefore excluding external radio receivers)
