Power source setup
The following figure shows additional parameters for the two advanced functions Corner and Self Restart
Management of current at workpiece corners (CORNER)
Reducing the current at the corners of the workpiece is a useful feature when combined with a reduction in cutting
speed at the corners. This prevents excessive metal removal at the corners.
The Corner function can be enabled or disabled directly by the CNC/Robot, maintaining the same cutting parameters
and consumables. This is done by means of the Corner Current Regulation icon.
The Corner function parameters (see Fig. 4.8) are regulated by means of the following icons:
♦
Corner Current = percentage of corner current in relation to cut-off current [20-100%]
♦
Corner Slope Down = current downward ramp slope within the range [0.1-10.0 A/ms]
♦
Corner Slope Up = current upward ramp slope within the range [0.1-10.0 A/ms]
Corner current adjustment is dependent upon a flag that identifies whether the parameter is managed directly by the
CNC or by the panel (see instruction manual on digital protocols for HQC plasma, code 3.300.056). The signal timing
for the Corner function is shown below:
