OPERATION SAFETY
ƒ In order to operate this machine, as well
as performing each maintenance task or
repair, you must follow all the indicated
instructions in this manual. You must pay
attention to all the recommendations and
safety warnings, in addition to meet all
the existing and applicable hygiene and
safety standards at work. People in charge
of using and performing maintenance
in the machine must be taught and
trained by the employer, as well as being
informed of the risks when the machine
is used in an improper manner. Besides,
they must be taught about the proper
use of the personal protective equipment.
ƒ In order to provide a better understanding,
certain images or pictures are presented
without their safety protection. However,
the machine can never be used without
it. Before you turn the machine on, check
if all the protections are in place.
ƒ Never operate the machine in case you
have ingested alcoholic beverages or
taken medicine, which might change your
state of alert and coordination. Keep alert
and focused during the operation and
always act with good sense. A moment
of recklessness or inattention might result
in a serious accident.
ƒ Before you turn on the machine, verify if
there are no tools or other objects on it.
ƒ Observe the surroundings of the machine
before you put it in operation. Keep
animals and people at a safe distance.
Special care must be taken if there are
children nearby.
ƒ It is forbidden to stand on the machine
when it is working or being used for
transportation. Whenever
it is necessary to climb on
the machine to perform any
adjustments or repair, turn
off the tractor PTO and wait
until all the components are
completely stationary.
ƒ Do not allow children or
curious people to approach

maneuvers.
ƒ Keep your hands at a safe
distance from the feeding
drums whenever the machine
is in operation. Contact with
the springs in motion might
cause serious hand injuries.
ƒ When you maneuver the
machine coupled to the
tractor, observe if there is
enough space to perform the
movements. Observe is there
are no animals or people
standing nearby.
ƒ This equipment is dangerous
for children and people who
are not familiar with its
operations. Do not allow
t h e m t o a p p r o a c h t h e
machine when it is working.
ƒ In case you notice any
abnormality in its operation,
vibrations, unusual noises
etc., turn off the machine
immediately, check and
eliminate the source before
you turn it back on.
