SYMPTOM
The knots are caught on
the support of the
knotmaker.
Cord breaking inside the
knot.
Cord frayed or showing
signs of cutting near the
knot.
Cord frayed or showing
signs of cutting at 40 thru
50 millimeters from the
knot.
CAUSE
1- A lot of tension in the
knotmaker support.
2- A large gap between
the blade holder arm
and the knotmaker sup-
port.
3- Knotmaker support
surface uneven.
4- Blade holder arm
misadjusted.
1- A lot of tension in the
retaining clamp.
2- A large gap between
the blade holder arm
and the knotmaker sup-
port.
1- Blade holder arm
uneven.
1- Cord catcher has
uneven edges of burrs.
2- Holes of the needles
uneven or worn.
Instructions Manual
PROCEDURE
1- Reduce the tension of
the tongue of the
knotmaker support.
2- Adjust blade holder
arm.
3- Replace the not mak-
er support.
4- Remove and adjust
the blade holder arm.
Verify the eccentric of
the toothed disk, and if
required replace it.
1- Loosen the springs of
the retaining clamp.
2- Adjust the blade
holder arm.
1- Eliminate burrs and
sand the edges.
1- Eliminate burrs and
sand the edges of the
catcher.
2- Eliminate burrs from
the holes or, if required,
replace the needles.
