REGULATING THE BRAKE OF THE KNOTMAKER

The compression of the springs of fig.152, determine the appropriate retention
of the threads for tying the baldes. Their adjustments is made through the
two nuts B. The ideal compression will depend on field conditions such as type
of product, moisture content etc., and the blae compression level. Start work
without pressure on the springs (factory setting) and observe the first bale by
adjusting the pressure if necessary.

IMPORTANT!

CARDAN WITH CLUTCH

The clutch protects the transmission of the
baler, absorving possible excessive torque
during the operation.
When noting that the clutch is being acti-
vated with facility, the springs M must be
tightened, applying equal compression to
all of them.
NOTES: Do not lubricate the parts of the
clutch.
Replace the disks when they are heavily
worn and/or broken.
torque of the clutch cardan: 70 kgf.

fig. 152
Problems in tying the bales may occur due to excessive
compression. The threads can not be loose, or run freely.
Improper pressure on the threads can make it difficult
tying the bales. The compression should be equal in
both springs.
