Removing and replacing the engine cover
(11)
Removing the engine cover
By removing the engine cover (11/1), you have

blies.

firm surface, and remove the ignition key.
2. Remove the grass sack.
3. Loosen the attachment bolt in the depression
behind the seat:
Remove the plastic cover (11/2) of the at-
tachment bolt.
Place a 15 mm ring spanner on the at-
tachment bolt, and remove it (11/3).
4. Fold the driver's seat into the vertical position,
and pull off the power cable.
5. Close the cap of the fuel tank.
6. Lift off the engine cover (11/1), and remove
the driver's seat; see section "Attaching the

Wheel change (12)
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing and material da-
mage!
The ride-on mower may fall over if it
is positioned on an uneven and unsta-
ble surface, and is not secured for the
wheel change.
For the wheel change, position the ride-
on mower on an even and firm surface,
and secure it with wheel chocks.
1. Raising and securing the ride-on mower:
a) Position the ride-on mower on an even
and firm surface, and remove the ignition
key.
b) Hold the ride-on mower in position using
the parking brake.
c) Secure the ride-on mower with chocks
to prevent it from rolling away. Place the
chocks under the side that is not being
raised.
ADVICE
Take care not to bend any tractor
elements when lifting. Only position
the jack on sturdy metal compon-
ents.
d) Use suitable lifting gear (e.g. a scissor
jack) to lift the ride-on mower on the side
where the wheel is to be changed. Lift
the ride-on mower until the wheel to be
changed can turn freely.
e) Secure the ride-on mower by placing a
sturdy support (e.g. wooden block) under
a supporting part of the chassis so that it
cannot drop down even if the jack were
to slip or tip over.
2. Removing the old wheel:
a) Pull off the protective cap (12/2).
b) Push off the snap ring (12/1).
c) Pull off the outer washer (12/3).
d) Pull the wheel off the axle.
e) Leave the inner washer on the axle. For
the rear wheel: Also leave the spacer ring
(12/4) and the spacer cylinder (12/5) on
the axle.
3. Fitting a new wheel:
a) Clean the axle and the bore in the new
wheel, and grease both of them with
multi-purpose grease.
b) Put the wheel onto the axle. For this, en-
sure that the inner washer is still on the
axle. For the rear wheel: For this, ensure
that the spacer ring and the spacer cylin-
der are still on the axle.
c) Put the washer onto the axle.
d) Refit the snap ring onto the axle.
ADVICE
Refit the snap ring carefully, so that
the wheel does not come free later
during operation later on.
e) Replace the protective cap.
