Troubleshooting
Fault
Starting difficulties or irregular
running. Ignition key is in posi-
tion I (DRIVE).
Engine performance falls off
while mowing. Ignition key is in
position I (DRIVE).
Engine stops and control light
flashes. Ignition key is in posi-
tion I (DRIVE) and the engine is
stopped.
Engine stops and control light
flashes. Ignition key is in posi-
tion I (DRIVE) and the engine is
stopped.
Engine stops and control light
continues to flash. Ignition key
is in position I (DRIVE) and the
engine is stopped.
Mower mechanism stops at
start of reverse travel.
Irregular cutting and insufficient
grass collection. Ignition key is
in position I (DRIVE).
Possible cause
Ignition does not work.
Problems with the carburettor.
Travel speed is too high relative
to the cutting height.
Safety devices were triggered.
Battery is discharged.
Engine defect.
Button for mowing while rever-
sing was not pressed.
Height of mower mechanism is
set incorrectly because of incor-
rect and uneven tyre pressures.
Prescribed heights of mower
mechanism: front 20 mm and
rear 25 mm (13)
Insufficient blade performance.
Remedy
Check that the spark plug
connector is firmly seated,
and if it is loose, push it on
firmly.
Inspect the cleanliness and
correct electrode gap of the
spark plug (see engine ope-
rating instructions).
Inspect the air filter, and
clean or replace it if it is dirty.
Empty the fuel tank, and
fill with fresh petrol (lead-
free petrol of at least 91 oc-
tane; for further information
see engine operating instruc-
tions).
Inspect the fuel filter, and
clean or replace it if dirty.
Reduce travel speed or raise
mower mechanism.
Check which of the conditions
which permit mowing are not ful-
filled, and correct the malfunc-
tion.
Turn the ignition key to STOP
(OFF), and determine the cause
of the malfunction:
Clean the contacts and charge
the battery.
Contact an authorised service
workshop.
Press the button for mowing
while reversing.
Check tyre pressures and cor-
rect if necessary (front: 1.5 bar,
rear: 1.0 bar). Both front and
both rear wheels must have the
same respective tyre pressure.
