IDENTIFICATION DATA

Fig. B: the equipment described in this manual has a
plate giving identification data of the same and the
Manufacturer:
A
Name and address of the Manufacturer
B
Equipment code and model
C
Serial number
D
Power supply information
The equipment has been built in compliance with the
EEC Directives stated in the attached "CE Declaration
of Conformity. Use the identification data to request
spare parts, information and After-Sales Assistance
from authorised centres. If the plate should deteriorate
with use and become illegible, even partially, request a
replacement from the Manufacturer stating all data.
Do not remove and/or ruin the plate so that the
equipment identification data can be recognised
at all times.
CHAPTER 4: TECHNICAL FEATURES
4.1
TECHNICAL FEATURES AND FUNCTIONING
PRINCIPLE
Zhermack creates qualitatively and technologically
advanced work instruments, in away that the user feels
that they are made-to-measure his everyday working
requirements. Zhermack uses state-of-the-art instruments
in the design field when making these products, thus
ensuring maximum equipment functionality. The use of
top quality materials and performance of all inspections
necessary for operator safety guarantee Zhermack
products, making them competitive at a worldwide level.
Operation of the cyclope is based on the physical
phenomenon of electromagnetic induction.
The cyclope allows the majority of dental modelling to be
done without using an open flame Bunsen burner.
This avoids problems associated with gas cylinders and
open flames (smoke, fire risk) and ensures respect of the
following safety regulations.
The cyclope offers the following advantages:
18
The reference figures can be found on pages 3 and 4 of this manual.
• better air quality in the dental laboratory, no oxygen is
removed by combustion;
• safety and ease of use, the instrument is ready to use in
a few seconds. The tool heater does not require a gas
installation and can be located in the most convenient
position for the operator;
• greater energy efficiency thanks to the presence of
sensors which activate heating only, when the spatula
is inside the chamber;
• higher quality objects as the induction technique
prevents soot particles from being deposited on the
instrument during heating, leading to contamination of
the modelling wax.

CHAPTER 5: TRANSPORT AND HANDLING
5.1

GENERAL WARNINGS

In order to prevent injury/damage to persons/
objects, pay great care when handling the
equipment, scrupulously complying with all
precautions and instructions contained in the
following paragraphs.
5.2

PACKAGING AND UNPACKING

Fig. C: All material is carefully controlled by the
Manufacturer before delivery. On receiving the
equipment, make sure that it has not been damaged
during transport and that the packaging has not been
tampered with, resulting in missing parts. Should any
damage or missing parts be noted, inform the Dealer
and the Carrier immediately by forwarding photographic
evidence. The packaging, made up of a cardboard box
with expanded plastic internal protections, contains:
• the cyclope equipment;
• the material supplied (see par. 4.2.1);
• the Use and Maintenance Manual.
