• The initial start-up or recommissioning of the product without prior electrical
and safety engineering acceptance of the arrangement of the product and of the
arrangement location by the relevant qualified operative.
• The initial start-up or recommissioning of the product, without prior risk
assessment according to the occupational safety law (Germany), or general
guidelines 89/391/EWG.
• Operation of the material storage (accessory upright) without collision protection
(for example, control strip, control unit and pressure wave sensor), see chapter
3 "Safety devices", 7.6.4, "Mounting material shelf", and the "Manual production
systems" catalog.
• Using the product outdoors (unprotected against adverse weather conditions) or in
a humid climate with water condensation.
• Technical/design changes on the product.
The following foreseeable misuses also constitute improper use:
• Using the product without sufficient structural stability.
• Attachments to the HEAP without checking the risks or without performing a risk
assessment.
• Using the product without sufficient surrounding space (see DIN 349).
• Operating the product with a load that exceeds the maximum permissible weight
load.
• Using the product to lift and lower a load that extends beyond the table top or
material shelf.
• Climbing onto the product.
– Keep off the product.
• Private use.

2.4 Personnel qualifications

The activities described in this document require a basic knowledge of mechanical,
electrical and pneumatic systems, as well as familiarity with the corresponding
technical terms. Additional knowledge of the use of lifting gear and corresponding
slings is required for transporting and handling the product. To ensure safe use,
these activities should only be performed by a specialist or a person under the
direction and supervision of a specialist.
A "specialist" refers to someone who can recognize possible hazards and take
the appropriate safety measures given his/her technical training, knowledge and
experience, and knowledge of relevant regulations. A specialist must observe the
relevant rules specific to his/her occupation and have the necessary expertise.
The entire electrical installation must be inspected by a qualified electrician
before commissioning.
