3 Safety equipment

3.1 Collision and property protection

Clamping point between table top and lower material shelf, see Fig. 4.
The height-adjustable workstation can be damaged, shortening its service life.
„ Install collision protection in the form of a control strip with control unit and
pressure wave sensor, see Fig.5, chapter 7.5.7 and 7.6.4.

The collision and property protection is not designed to be clamping protection
or personal protection.
– For physical reasons, soft obstacles can only be detected and evaluated with
difficulty or not at all.
– If an obstacle is detected, the movement of the table and/or material buffer is
stopped and a reverse movement is automatically initiated.
Instructions for use
• After the start of a movement, obstacles can only be recognized after a short
distance.
• Table tops or attachments must be rigidly connected to the drive system. If a table
with only a loosely connected part (for example, loose table top) hits an obstacle, this
can only be detected poorly or not at all.
• Soft obstacles are defined as all types of obstacles that initially give way when the
collision takes place, as is the case with body parts, upholstered chairs, etc. Soft
obstacles can only be detected poorly or not at all.
