Fitting guard
1. Take the guard out of the packaging material and set
it down on the packaging material.
2. Remove the parts of the assembly set 1 685 510 239
from the packaging.

Fitting handle
¶
Attach the handle (Fig. 34, item 4) to the guard
using hexagon socket head bolts M6x16 (Fig. 34,
item 1), spring lock washers A6 (Fig. 34, item 2) and
plastic washers 18 x 6x 0.5 mm (Fig. 34, item 3).
Fitting guard detection system

Fit the hexagon socket head bolt M5 x 16 (Fig. 34,
item 5), spring lock washer A5 (Fig. 34, item 6) and
plastic washer 15 x 5 x 0.5 mm (Fig. 34, item 7) with
the nut M5 (Fig. 34, item 8) at the guard.

With the EPS 205 switched on and the guard closed,
the LED at the inner guard contact must light. If this
is not the case, the distance between the guard con-
tacts must be reduced. To do so, unfasten the nuts
at the guard contact and move the guard contact to
the correct position.

Take care not to scratch the guard when fitting it
on the shaft. Excessive expansion may damage the
protective hood. Take care not to scratch the protec-
tive hood.
1. Fit black plastic washers 25 x 10 x 1.5 mm (Fig. 35,
item 4) on both ends of the shaft (Fig. 35, item 5).
2. Place the guard in the correct position on the
EPS 205.
3. Carefully stretch the guard with both hands on a
level with the two mounting holes and position the
two mounting holes (Fig. 35, item 1) of the guard
over the ends of the shaft.
